Twelve thirty five

I have been wearing a smartwatch for years. Today I have an Apple Watch Ultra 2, but in the past, I have had several Apple wearables. Besides the Watch, I have had various Fitbit, some Samsung Galaxy Watches, the first Moto 360 with Android Wear, and others more or less famous, more or less watches, more or less Chinese. I have tried many until, since 2021, I have had nothing but Apple devices.

I was never able to get a Pebble, which was discontinued in 2016, even though I was already wearing smartwatches. It was challenging to get them delivered to Italy. I was in love with the Steel.

I loved the elegance of those devices, the design, the simplicity, and the e-paper screen. Above all, I appreciated the aesthetic appeal of their operating system, PebbleOS. But I also liked that it had four buttons and so few features.

Pebble was acquired by Fitbit, which was later acquired by Google. A few days ago, Google released the PebbleOS operating system as open-source, and Eric Migicovsky, founder of Pebble, announced that he will work on future devices based on the same software. Just wanted to write that this makes me happy.
