Other people’s cities
I always enjoy reading Manuel’s posts, along with P&B interviews, about the lives of bloggers around the world, what they do, and how they ended up writing online in their own space, independent and extremely personalized.
Aside from the technical stuff, which often deals with very similar solutions, what I love reading is where each one comes from: New Jersey, New York City, London, Chicago, Austin, Amsterdam, Albuquerque, Ljubljana, St. Louis, Tokyo, Medford, Bangalore, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Sydney, Grenoble, Brighton, Charlottetown, Barcelona, Portland, and other areas of the UK or the USA.
And what I love most about it is fantasizing where that blogger lives, and I’d love to know what they do in their city, how they live it, how they breathe it, how they get to work, what they do in their free time. The lives of others, in other people’s cities, are always a wonderful gift to receive.
Thank you, Manuel.
