The Gratitude Subscriptions, March 2026
I won’t go into the reasons why you should use a password manager. I’m assuming that if you’re reading this blog, you’re nerdy enough to already have one. Right?

In February, my gratitude subscription was expressed with a donation ($10) to Johan Sanneblad, lead developer of Notebook Navigator.
Over the past two years, I’ve started this my virtual subscription to projects for which I express deep gratitude. Projects related to applications I use, or blogs I follow, or podcasts I listen to, and so on. I wrote about them for 2024 and 2025.
Last year, I decided to give back, in a small way, the amount I receive from projects, services, apps, or people through a “gratitude subscription.” Every month, a contribution of around €10 as a thank you for using it, for the information, or for existence itself1. I repeated the experiment.
At the beginning of the 2024, I decided to subscribe virtually to some services or people that I use or follow during the year. I’m done that with monthly donations, like Spotify: every month a different person, application, service, or podcast. I used this way to give back something that I received, that be worth much more of my two coins. It was a contribution, a form of thanksgiving. It’s a way to demonstrate my gratitude: I know that it’s not enough, but I tried to support many recipients as possible.
