Lake

Lake Averno is a small volcanic lake in the Phlegraean Fields, near Pozzuoli. It is considered the entrance to the Underworld in Greco-Roman mythology: it was a place of worship and rituals connected to the afterlife. Now it is (not only, but above all) a beautiful and relaxing body of water, just steps from the sea of ​​Naples.

When I took this picture, there was only fog. Fog and an immobile and quiet small lake. I was in Sicily, in the Nebrodi park, and the atmosphere was magnificent and surreal. It was a beautiful trip with a beautiful company.
