I need to replace my work Mac within a few weeks. ¹ My work laptop is synced with my personal one for everything that involves iCloud. I have pretty much the same apps, and I use Homebrew for everything I can. So, with the switch coming up, I’ve been thinking about rebuilding my dotfiles for macOS.

Last year, I decided to give back, in a small way, the amount I receive from projects, services, apps, or people through a “gratitude subscription.” Every month, a contribution of around €10 as a thank you for using it, for the information, or for existence itself¹. I repeated the experiment.

Grazie al prezioso suggerimento di Andrea tratto dal suo recente post sugli abbonamenti, ho scoperto Bobby, una piccola app per iOS e macOS che permette di tenere traccia di tutti i costi fissi ricorrenti, le sottoscrizioni e gli abbonamenti. Ho scoperto pure che spendo un sacco di soldi e che, forse, era meglio non scoprire niente.
