I’m disappointed with Apple Arcade. I activated it to introduce my daughter to video games, and I combined the subscription by buying an Apple TV and two classical console joysticks. I can’t say that it doesn’t work, but it works with just a few titles and has limits that I didn’t expect.
I decided to introduce video games to my daughter. I have done it because she asked me, without screaming, and because I don’t want her to stay out of the — partially — understanding of a universe mistreated by adults and non-nerds. Among other things, a universe mainly attended by boys and less by girls.
Ho deciso di introdurre mia figlia ai videogiochi. L’ho fatto un po’ perché me ne è arrivata da lei, sempre meno fioca, la richiesta, e un po’ perché non voglio che resti fuori dalla comprensione (certamente parziale) di un universo legato a un medium oggi un po’ bistrattato da molti adulti e da chi usa approcci meno, ehm, nerd alla vita. Tra l’altro, un universo che a distanza mi sembra occupato principalmente da ragazzi, ma questa è un’altra storia.
