I haven’t updated this page in quite a while. A lot has changed since then, like the company I worked for, or the fact that I attempted a public challenge but without success. I finally recreated some dotfiles for macOS and started to have some doubts about using the new AI-based translators: do they translate exactly what I write, or do they make things up?

I’ve done a lot of things in the last few months. Above all, I’ve had a lot of fun setting up a server to host a series of applications and free myself from cloud services: FreshRSS, Umami, VaultWarden, LanguageTool and I’ll gradually install more.

Since then, I’ve fired people, gone on vacation, returned from vacation, planned a trip like a nerd (I’d say I am), and started working at a new company. Ah, what a complicated story. And now, hoping it doesn’t pass, I really want to get back to writing on this blog of mine.

My last update to this page was at the end of January; please excuse this silence, but since then, I have written very little, both on the blog and in my personal journal. I am not very stimulated because of a serious problem at work and its consequences, which I am still dealing with. But, without losing heart, I can say that I’ve activated an Instagram account—alas!—and I bought a watch for my daughter.

I don’t have a set goal for 2025, but I want to pay more attention to readings outside the iPhone. I’ve perused many blogs, and they’re all fantastic. Moreover, I am awaiting the arrival of my new bike, and I am attempting to persuade my friends and family to discontinue their use of social media platforms, and reduce the use of WhatsApp. Above all, I’m studying how the market, savings, and investments work, and I’ve thrown myself into it headfirst.

In the last weeks, I disappointed with Apple Arcade and appreciated the selfie power, a thing that I don’t be able to believe yet. I found that here in Italy I can’t always pay cashless, and I wrote a memo for my team for the offboarding cases. I would rather not be social and solve my delegatoor pain.

Nelle ultime settimane ho iniziato a usare Everlog al posto di Day One per il mio journaling. Sono appena tornato da un viaggio di piacere in Irlanda, per il quale sto pubblicando qualche scatto nel mio photoblog.
