Better futures

The future has never existed. It exists what we can conceive to take action. The futures are many. Some are preferable. We recognize preferable futures because they benefit everyone, not just a few people. It’s worth it to dedicate our lives to better futures.

The future is the consequence of our choices, Luca De Biase told1, and if we choose better, we will live better our future. It seems theoretical, but it is a deep and concrete concept. We all know why our present is on one’s knees; we can’t ignore it. Neither the ONU nor the EU nor us, as citizens. We must choose with more conscientiousness our actions because we need better futures.
